The Girl

Director Alfred Hitchcock is revered among the greatest creative minds at cinema's annals. Known for his psychological thrillers, Hitchcock's prominent ladies were trendy, beautiful and rather blonde. One actress was Tippi Hedren, an unknown fashion model given her major break when she was seen by Hitchcock's wife to a television commercial. Delivered to Universal Studios, Hedren was shocked while the director, at the peak of the livelihood cast her into star in his next feature, 1963's The Birds. Little did Hedren know that as ambitious and terrifying whilst the production would be to take, the most daunting aspect of the film wound up originating out behind the camera.
