The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman
In February 1962, when the civil rights movement makes its way to Bayonne, Louisiana, a New York journalist travels to the town to interview Jane Pittman, who had just celebrated her 110th birthday that month. She recounts him her life tale, beginning with her earliest memories prior to the abolition of slavery. Throughout her life, the challenges of Blacks in Bayonne are portrayed, with Jimmy serving as an impetus for them to continue their fight.
