Life changed for Alejandro Reis - Alex - in only a couple brief minutes when he finds that he is an American citizen. His parents brought him across the Mexican border when he was old. Flora Hendricks, on the other hand comes into the world in Missouri. She decides to run away from home. Alex finds himself deported to Mexico On a parallel track that was appearing, Flora is detained for shoplifting. And put in the identical deportation bus with Alex. After on Mexican dirt Alex and Flora find out fast that they are way out of their thickness. They learn quickly that Tijuana and the majority of the border towns are ultra places which can be overrun by dangerous, warring factions that are criminal.
