Eva Doesn't Sleep

The strangest thing about that particular story is that it's true. Back in 1952, Eva Perón, Argentina's beloved First Lady, died at the age of thirty-three of cancer. A renowned embalmer was commissioned by the grieving Juan Perón to preserve her own body for display, and Argentines appeared to be near"Evita." When a coup overthrew his administration, Perón fled the country before he would make arrangements. The junta now in control kidnapped the corpse. So afraid were they of Eva power that they also made it illegal to utter her name. So began the two-decade travel of the body all through Europe and back to Argentina of Eva.
