An American Affair

In the early 1960s, adolescent Adam Stafford (Cameron Bright) becomes enamored with his new neighbor Catherine Caswell (Gretchen Mol), a divorced free spirit. Stafford observes Caswell meeting with odd men, and despite the fears of his conservative parents, he begins working as her gardener. In the midst of allegations of her affair with President Kennedy, the two become close, but political intrigue involving her acquaintances soon erodes their relationship.
